Young Veterinary Clinic is a privately owned mixed animal practice which opened in 1995. We do approximately 75% small animal and 25% large animal. We currently have two full-time veterinarians and are seeking to hire two more full time veterinarians to our growing practice. In 2021 we completed a 4000 sq. foot addition of an incredible new hospital onto our existing clinic. We are equipped with all the equipment and space to practice high quality veterinary medicine in a great little northwest Missouri town. We are located an hour and a half away from downtown Kansas City. The community is a safe and relaxing town to live and work in. Chillicothe, Missouri offers lots of excellent outdoor events and activities for your off time, great public and private schools for raising children. Excellent hunting and fishing and hiking in nearby state parks and game lands nearby.

As we have continued to grow we have the need to hire veterinarians that want to work in a mixed animal practice. We have a large haul-in area for working cattle equipped with a hydraulic tilt chute as well as mobile trucks with a portable chute for on the farm calls. We have equine stocks and the best equipment for practicing high quality large animal medicine.

Our small animal hospital is equipped with 4 exam rooms and one comfort room. We have a large treatment area, surgery prep and surgery suite. We offer digital x-ray, surgical laser, a full dental suite, ultra sound machine, therapy laser and a complete in-house diagnostic lab. We want to learn from and mentor to our new associates who want to learn how to practice high quality veterinary medicine. Our  services rang from basic spay, neuter, surgical AI, to complicated orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries. We perform routine annual wellness exams and vaccinations as well as complicated internal medicine work-ups. You'll be able to discover your passion and thrive in our diverse clinic enviroment.​

Qualified candidates would be required to work 4 days a week (7:30am - 5:00pm) with one Saturday (7:30am - 12:00pm) a month and one week of after hours call a month. Applicants must have a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent, from an accredited university as well as Missouri licensure and accreditation. Schedule would be subject to change if we are not able to hire multipule veterinarians and a 3-month mentoring program onset of employment. You'll work a little more but will be mentored by two very experienced veterinarians to support you in the early stages of employment.
